Balkan Fusion with NORD universitet
Transform’s formidable board manager Slobodan Bozovic is a very busy man. He’s a nurse at St.Olavs Hospital, runs a company that organizes trips to Balkan and imports wine, manages a festival in Serbia and we hope he sleeps once in a while too! Serbia World Music Festival and Transform has cooperated for a number of years, and Slobodan has also arranged trips for Norwegians to learn more about the local music and culture in Serbia. After many postponements we can finally present our mutual project between music students and their teachers at Nord universitet and their Serbian instructors. Two groups of students from Norway has visited Serbia this year and we will present the musical results this Friday night. We are immensely proud of this exchange and are already looking forward to a new festival in Gorji Milanovac next Spring!
Igor og Fetterne
Igor and the Cousins are known for taking Norwegian musical treasures, turn them on their head and sing about ethnic minority status in a humorous way, just as much a standup show as a concert. Igor, who was part of Transform back in his student days, is an inexhaustible source of stories and introductions, and with the Cousins around him it’s suddenly music too. With a well of experience they convey knowledge about EVERYTHING a new Norwegian needs to know upon arrival. We can’t wait to hear hits like “Ali Baba”, Baba Lille Lam”, “Lille fetter Eddy Yerkov” and “Håvard Hedde”. With playful rhythms, outstanding musicianship, contagious smiles and a bit of Balkan madness they’ll clear the floor and make room for song and dance.
Igor Dunderovic – vocal, guitar, storytelling
Elvis Medic – vocal, guitar, orchestra leader
Almir Meskovic – accordeon
Daniel Lazar – violin
