The award winning Haitian film maker Raoul Peck made this strong documentary in 2013, three years after the fatal earthquake that killed hundred of thousands and laid waste to most of the island. Haiti was already one of the poorest countries in the world and the international relief response turned into a show of strength from the richer countries offering aid. Organizations arrived on the ground for photo ops and to document the situation. The film show the obvious shortcomings of the humanitarian response. 11 years later Haiti is still down with their back broken and promised aid was never transferred. A hands on story of the backside of international humanitarian aid and how the system does not work.
