Since 2020 Transform has been involved in building Global North Network, a network of roots/ethnic/world music producers and venues in the Nordic countries.

With partners in Sweden, Denmark, Iceland and Finland the goal is to build a larger network for venues, tours and projects, while also getting to know the artists working in the field.

Supported by Nordic Cultural Points of Nordisk Kulturråd (Nordic Culture Fund), Transform and the Danish venue Huset in Ålborg organized the very first Global North Showcase in May. Twelve acts represented the network with music from all continents. It was a huge success and we’re already planning for next year.

Several of the artists will attend this year’s Transform Festival September 5th-11th.
