Lazarus Klezmer Effekt - Transform

Almir Meskovic and Daniel Lazar grew up in Bosnia and Serbia. Throughout history the Balkans have been a melting pot where new impulses were born. Two groups who got together were Askhenazi jews from Romania and Moldova and Sephardic jews from Spain and Portugal settling in Bosnia-Hercegovina and Serbia. Their musical traditions blended and shaped the Klezmer and traditional music as we know it today.

Finally, this group’s soundscape would not be the same without a Scandinavian breeze in the form of Christo Stagnes’ majestic bass playing.

Almir Meskovic – accordeon
Daniel Lazar – violin
Christo Stagnes – upright bass
