Miniatyrlandsbyer med veggmaleri og gatekunst - Transform

Cicignongs plass & Kattveita
All week

A miniature village of murals and street art

Suparna Paul is from Jamshedpur in India. For the last four years she’s lived in Trondheim with her husband and their children. She’s a bio engineer and self taught artist who enjoys all kinds of creative projects, with painting as her main focus. Fortunately for Transform she quickly became part of our creative team, always with an eye towards creating something new and beautiful.

She’s a tutor with our youth project “Transformer”. Over the last six months they’ve worked on miniature houses from cultures around the world known for their characteristic murals (see also our exhibition African Murals at the Library). Ndebele of South Africa, Tiebele of Burkina Faso and the Warli from the Maharashtra region of India. Students of Visual Arts at Trondheim Cultural School has also participated. The result can be seen throughout the week at Cicignongs Place. The little ones can crawl in and explore the houses while the bigger ones can browse the related photo exhibit.

In addition to this Suparna will give Kattveita, where Trykkeriet Scene is located, a fresh makeover with handcrafts and light art which her hometown is well known for.
